In a bold confrontation with the religious Jews, Jesus revealed himself to be the Son of God. The Jews knew that Jesus was making himself equal with God, and so they wanted to kill him. Jesus was killed, he was crucified for the sins of the world, and raised from the dead, all according to plan.

Jesus healed a man who had been paralyzed for thirty-eight years at the Pool of Bethesda. Because the healing took place on the Sabbath, it provoked opposition and persecution from the Jewish leaders.

Jesus heals a man's son from a deadly fever, and in doing so draws the man into genuine belief. Genuine belief in Jesus is when we take Jesus at his word.

Jesus had to pass through Samaria, because he had a meeting with a woman at a well. Jesus knew everything about the woman, and the woman believed that Jesus is the Christ.

Some disciples of John the Baptist asked him what he thought about people going to be baptized by Jesus. There is always a danger of comparison and competition among God's people. John told them that Jesus must increase, and he must decrease.

Nicodemus meets with Jesus in the night to have a conversation. Jesus tells Nicodemus that he must be born again. But what does that mean? The Holy Spirit reveals to us what it means to be born again in the Word of God.

Jesus did his first miracle at a wedding in Cana. He turned water into wine. This miracle was a sign that manifested the glory of Jesus, and it caused his disciples to believe in him.

The testimonies of the first disciples show us how people still come to Jesus today. His invitation remains the same: “Come, follow Me.”

John the baptist was asked by a delegate of the Jews if he was the Christ. John emphatically declared, "I am not the Christ." John bore witness to Jesus being the Christ.

Jesus is the eternal Word who created all things. Jesus became a human being and lived among us so we could see God’s glory. In Jesus there is fullness of grace and truth, and through faith in him receive grace upon grace.

In Jesus we find true life and true light. Those who believe in Jesus receive the life and light that He alone gives.

Jesus is God and the creator of all things. He is the Word. When we believe in Jesus we receive life in his name.
