Palm Sunday - Fickle Faith
The crowds hailing Jesus on Palm Sunday turned on Him a few days later on Good Friday and called out for Him to be crucified. In this message, we will examine what it was about them that caused their faith to be so fickle, compared to the faith of Mary the sister of Lazarus.
Revelation 3:14-22 - Seven Churches: Laodicea
The church in Laodicea was like their water supply, neither hot nor cold, but lukewarm. Jesus corrected this church for their self-sufficiency, apathy, and pride.
Revelation 3:7-13 - Seven Churches: Philadelphia
The church in Philadelphia was a faithful church, they were not corrected, but only commended by Jesus because they held fast to his word and to his name during times of persecution.
Revelation 3:1-6 - Seven Churches: Sardis
The church in Sardis had a reputation for being alive, but Jesus gave them a wake up call when he said they were a dead church. A church must have the Word of God and the Spirit of God to be alive.
Revelation 2:18-29 - Seven Churches: Thyatira
The church in Thyatira was a hardworking and growing church, however there was a tolerance for sin that Jesus needed to correct. Jesus calls us to repentance so that we can receive his grace.
Revelation 2:12-17 - Seven Churches: Pergamum
The church in Pergamum was holding fast under persecution, however there were a few things that some people in the church needed to repent of.
Revelation 2:8-11 - Seven Churches: Smyrna
Jesus encouraged the church of Smyrna as they faced religious and political persecution. He told them to be faithful unto death. They did not have to fear death because Jesus died and came to life, and he promises eternal life.
Revelation 2:1-7 - Seven Churches: Ephesus
The church in Ephesus was a hard working, morally pure, and doctrinally sound church, but they had left their first love.

Paul says in Galatians 4:4-5, "But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons." This statement tells us when Jesus came, how Jesus came, and why Jesus came.
Hebrews 12:18-29 - Unshakeable Kingdom
We have not come to Mt. Sinai, but we have come to Mt. Zion. Therefore, let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken.
